NAME
Dendrobates leucomelas "Fine Spot" often called "Bumble Bee Dart Frog" The name Fine Spot refers to the black spots that cover these frogs as Adults. Fine spot Luecomelas get more defined spots as they reach maturity.
BREEDING
Fine spot Leucomelas are very easy to breed. Eggs are laid on petri dishes and on leaves mostly. Best kept in a 1.1.0 pair (1 male & 1 female) but also do very well in groups. Females are usually Larger and have a thicker chest region.
MATURITY
Fine Spot Leucomelas reach maturity within 10-16 months. once established they can lay eggs every 7-10 days. Morphing time is 85-100 days.
NATURAL HABITAT
D. Leucomelas are from Brazil, Colombia, British Guyana, and Venezuela. Fine Spot Leucomelas is from Venezuela.
HUMIDITY

FEEDING
Drosophila Melanogaster fruit flies is easily consumed by D.luecomelas at any age. Adults will easily consume larger food like Drosophila Hydei fruit flies. All Feeder insects should be dusted with a quality vitamin & mineral supplement.
